iLece Op Co., Limited (hereinafter referred to as the “Company”, “we”, or “iLece”) respects and protects the privacy rights of all users of the babemotion application software (hereinafter referred to as the “App”).

All data generated by this App is stored only on your mobile device locally. We do not collect, store, process, or transmit any information on our servers that can identify you or your child.

Please read and fully understand the entirety of this Privacy Policy before using the App.

By installing, opening, or otherwise using the App, you are deemed to have fully read, understood, and agreed to all terms of this Policy.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information We Do NOT Collect

We do not collect, upload, back up, or synchronize any personal information, device information, audio/video data, or other content to our servers.

We do not read, record, or send your IP address, advertising identifiers (IDFA/GAID), network logs, account information, or any other personally identifiable information to any third party.

We do not use any data for user profiling, advertising, targeted recommendations, or commercial analytics.

1.2 Information We Access but Do Not Upload Externally

To complete local data collection, storage, display, and device connectivity, the App may request the following system permissions (information/data) when you first use related features. You may disable any permission at any time in your device settings, although doing so may cause certain features to become unavailable.

All permissions are used locally on your device only. No information is uploaded externally or transmitted to the Company’s servers.

Location permission (required for Bluetooth functionality).

Camera permission (used for QR code scanning for remote sharing).

Microphone permission (used for cry detection and alerts).

1.3 Information Stored Locally Only

To provide core functionality, the App stores the following information locally on your mobile device:

Birthday/age information manually entered or selected by you (used for sleep score calculations).

Added babemotion device IDs (used for local Bluetooth pairing and identification).

Sleep-related data such as posture, body movement, and rollover information (transmitted from the babemotion hardware device to the App via Bluetooth).

Microphone recording data (used for cry detection and alerts, automatically deleted immediately after local recognition is completed).

2. Data Storage, Security, and Notices

2.1 Storage Location

All data is stored only within your device’s local sandbox directory and never leaves your device.

2.2 Security Measures

(A) iLece will make reasonable efforts to protect your information security. However, you acknowledge that iLece cannot completely avoid risks related to personal information security, especially in circumstances beyond iLece’s control, including but not limited to force majeure events or third-party causes. Therefore, iLece cannot make any absolute guarantees or commitments regarding the maintenance or confidentiality of privacy information.

If iLece becomes aware that the security of stored data has been compromised, or that non-public user information has been disclosed to unrelated third parties due to external actions (including but not limited to external cyberattacks), iLece will take reasonable measures it deems appropriate, including but not limited to internal investigations, reporting incidents to law enforcement authorities, and cooperating with such authorities. iLece may also notify affected users when appropriate regarding the disclosed information and the extent of iLece’s awareness of the incident.

Data is encrypted and stored locally using AES-256 encryption.

We do not associate stored data with the identities of the device user or baby. Only necessary information is stored, and sensitive information is anonymized or desensitized where applicable.

We recommend enabling a device password or biometric lock to prevent unauthorized access to the App.

If you uninstall the App, all locally stored data will be deleted by the operating system.

(1) We have adopted industry-standard security measures to protect the personal information you provide against unauthorized access, disclosure, use, modification, damage, or loss. For example, encryption technologies and trusted security protection mechanisms are used to safeguard data confidentiality and security.

(2) We take all reasonable and practical measures to ensure that irrelevant personal information is not collected. Personal information will only be retained for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy unless otherwise required or permitted by law.

(3) iLece will make reasonable efforts to ensure information security, but cannot completely eliminate all risks related to personal information security, especially those beyond its control. If iLece becomes aware of any compromise of stored data security or unauthorized disclosure of non-public information to unrelated third parties due to external factors, iLece will take reasonable remedial measures and may notify affected users where appropriate.

(4) When iLece ceases operation of its products or services, we will:

a) promptly stop collecting personal information;

b) notify users individually or through public announcements;

c) delete or anonymize retained personal information.

2.3 Auto-Start Permission

To ensure that babemotion remains connected to our devices in real time for continuous baby sleep health monitoring:

When your device enables auto-start permissions or power-saving modes, you may choose to enable the App’s auto-start permission so that babemotion can restart automatically if it is closed.

Please understand that if you choose not to enable this permission, we may be unable to provide real-time sleep health monitoring after the App is cleared from the background by the operating system, although other features and services will continue functioning normally.

2.4 Microphone Permission and Audio Data Processing

(Cry Detection and Alerts)

When you enable the “Baby Sleep Monitoring” feature, the App requires microphone access in order to:

Monitor ambient sound decibel levels in real time;

Identify baby crying sounds through local algorithms;

Send alert notifications when crying or abnormal sound levels are detected.

Principles, Processing Procedures, and Related Operations

Local Processing: All audio collection and recognition processes are completed locally on your device, including sound decibel calculations and cry pattern recognition.

Result Transmission: Only recognition results (such as “Cry Detected” or “Ambient Noise Level: XX dB”) may be transmitted for notification purposes. Original audio recordings are never uploaded to any server.

Immediate Deletion: Local audio cache data is deleted immediately after recognition is completed and is not stored long-term on the device.

3. Your Rights

Because all data is stored locally, you retain full control over your data:

Deletion: You may directly modify or delete birthdays, device IDs, and sleep records within the App. Uninstalling the App will also completely erase all local data.

Withdrawal of Consent: You may disable any permission at any time in your device settings. Disabling permissions may limit related features but will not affect data already stored locally.

4. Protection of Minors

This App is primarily intended for guardians of infants and young children.

If you are a minor, please read this Policy together with your guardian and use the App only after obtaining explicit consent from your guardian.

5. Changes to This Policy

If we make any material changes to the way local data is processed, we will notify you through in-app pop-ups or update notices and obtain your explicit consent again where required.

7. Dispute Resolution

If any dispute arises between you and us regarding the implementation of this Policy, both parties shall first attempt to resolve the matter through friendly negotiation. If negotiation fails, either party may bring a lawsuit before a court with competent jurisdiction in accordance with the applicable service agreement.

Any disputes arising from third-party software or technologies used by us shall be resolved by the relevant third party, and we shall bear no responsibility for such disputes. We do not provide customer support for third-party software or technologies. If you require support, please contact the relevant third party directly.
